Poor print quality on Macbook Air and EcoTank

I use Epson Ecotank which is a nice quality printer. I downloaded the drivers and when printing, I select "best" as the print quality (I only have two options under quality - normal and best).

My prints come out poor quality, they are nothing like I can print using the same printer and Windows 10.

Is there anywhere on the Mac I can change the settings to show more quality options?

The system dialog just doesn't have many options to choose from and "best" is mediocre, at best. It compares to "draft" on Windows, and Windows dialogue provides 4 better options than this + it also provides extra options to make it even higher quality.

Things I need to find on my Macbook Air:

  • better general quality of print
  • disabling "fast" print mode (this should be an additional setting)
  • control over "resolution" of print - I need to be able to set this to 720

Please could someone let me know where I can find this.

PS: before you answer, please note that I have the latest printer drivers and am printing with the best quality available.

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 15.6
