iPad problems after 26.1 update

Facebook Messenger has been a mess lately on the iPad. Meta has updated the app 9 times in just the last month for some bug fixes, but unfortunately they also included more bugs. The most recent update was 2 days ago, so at least make sure you are using the latest version. Others may not be using the same version as you are if they do not have Automatic Updates turned on or if their device was not connected to WiFi and plugged into power to receive the update.

The bug you are experiencing may even be in the latest version of Messenger if you just started seeing in within the last 2 days of that update. Beyond that, the solution will need to come from Meta. Unfortunately they do not have a support forum such as this for users to discuss issues with any of the bugs found.
