iPadOS 26.1 “Save to Files” window from Safari is nearly useless.
iPadOS 26.1 “Save to Files” window from Safari is nearly useless. The dropdown pathname menu at the top shows TWO characters. The folders’ names get truncated if they are longer than 15 characters. The columns are too narrow. (OK, I can resize the column, but I can’t resize the WINDOW). The 2nd column is half off the window and I have to scroll over to see it. The window itself is too small; why is it so small? I don’t need to see anything behind the save window while I am saving; just fill nearly the whole screen, make the columns wider, show more of the pathnames and folder names, don’t make me scroll to see ONE more column. What the heck did they do, going from 18 to 26? Did anyone even try to use this save window before release? I can’t imagine, because I could instantly tell it was poorly designed. What good is a dropdown pathnames menu with TWO characters showing??
