Who is the email provider?

Contact them and request a password reset.

If it is a @iCloud or @me account, then it is the Apple Account password, and if you do not remember it, you will need to request a change of your Apple Account password.

If it is a Gmail address then do it on the Gmail servers.

If it is a Outlook or Hotmail address

Change your password in Outlook.com

Who did you use to set up your email address originally. Was it Appl;e, Microsoft, Yahoo, etc, etc.

The part of the email address after the "@" identifies who the provider is.

• @outlook.com or @hotmail.com is Microsoft
• Internet service providers use their own such as Xfinity/Comcast may be @comcast.net.
