How do I recover my locked iPhone account for a phone promotion?

I’m trying to do an account recovery for my iPhone so I can set it back to factory settings and turn it in for a phone promotion. I’ve went through the process twice with two different phone numbers for account recovery, and it’s now past the timeframe and I still haven’t received a phone call or text with my next steps to recover my account. I’m also restricted from using apps on my phone due to the account being locked. Please help! This is very frustrating

Did you use other equipment while the request was being processed? Note the two sections about how using devices while using Account Recovery may result in the request being cancelled automatically.

If the request was not canceled but you did not receive a message by the time anticipated, to go directly to https://apple.com/recover Follow the directions to regain account access.
