I am a first time user of Apple TV.
I want to group my favourite shows onto a list for easy retrieval in Apple TV.
Also my family members each want such a list for their own favourite shows (we all use the same account).
How do we do this?

Create a playlist
You can create custom compilations of the movies and TV shows in your library for playback in any order
you choose.
Note: Adding an item to a playlist downloads the item to your computer.
1. Go to the Apple TV app a on your Mac.
2. Choose File > New > Playlist.
The Library opens and displays an empty playlist.
3. Type a name for the playlist, then press Return.
4. To add items to the playlist, click a category under Library in the sidebar (Movies, for example), then
do any of the following:
• Drag an item on the right to the playlist name in the sidebar.
• Move the pointer over an item on the right, click a, choose Add to Playlist, then choose the
playlist.
• Control-click an item in your library, choose Add to Playlist, then choose a playlist.
Your family should really not share an Apple Account. --> Make sure that each family member has a unique Apple Account - Apple Support

I have created and named the playlist.
But when I want to add 'movies' iand click under Library o nMovies, It tells me to 'Browse home' (as I have no purchased movies). I click on 'Browse Home' and then see all the available movies. How do I add some into my playlist? Or is it only possible to add purchased movies in a playlist?
Then how do we each make a list of favourite (free) movies/shows?
The people that use my account are my small children. It seems easier if they use my browser, music and Apple TV?
