macOS Sequoia: Question mark and Return key issues

After an update with Sequoia my question mark key doesn't work. Also when typing an email if I hit return to change lines it sends the email.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.7

Go to:

System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit → Input Sources

Make sure the only active layout is:

  • U.S.
  • (or whatever layout you normally use)

If you see:

  • ABC – Extended
  • British
  • Canadian CSA
  • Unicode Hex Input
  • International – PC

…remove them. These layouts change the Shift+/ mapping.

Remove everything except your expected layout.

What do you get instead of question mark? Nothing at all?

Regarding return, are you talking about the Mail app? It sounds more like Messages behavior. Does return work properly elsewhere, like here?
