Airpod Pro 3 Hearing Assist Function with Greater Than Moderate Hearing Loss

Will the hearing assist function on the Airpod Pro 3 still work if I upload a hearing test showing more than moderate hearing loss? I have hearing loss and wear hearing aids but would like to use the hearing assist function while exercising and phone calls.

I also travel internationally and noticed the hearing assist function is not available in certain countries. Will it still work if my account is registered and the devices setup in the US, but I travel to a country which doesn't support the function?
