2023 M2 Mac Mini won't turn on after not being used for about a month.

I purchased a M2 Mac Mini in April of 2025, used it continuously until mid October and the shut it down. Now, after a couple of weeks it won't turn on again. I own many Apple products and had never any issues. What are my options?

About the only thing actually missing in that Apple article is about unplugging the AC cord from the computer for a few minutes & plug it back in.

In addition, try plugging it into another electrical outlet in case the one you are using is dead (common with power/surge strips). Plugging directly into the wall outlet is best for testing purposes to confirm a bad power/surge strip.

I did some more research and could solve the issue. Here is what I found out:

Apple has acknowledged a known power issue with certain 2023 M2 Mac Mini units that were manufactured between June 16, 2024 and November 23, 2024. The issue is hardware-related, and Apple has not disclosed the exact cause, but it is significant enough to warrant a global repair program.

So, I went to Apple’s Mac mini Service Program for No Power Issue - Apple Support to check if my serial number would qualify and it did. From there I made a service appointment and will receive free repair or replacement.

I hope that this information helps anyone who is experiencing the same problem.

How'd you know what I did and what not? My reply to you was regarding the steps that I can do myself. If I had contacted Apple Service immediately, then I would have to pay for the repair. Instead, I did some more research and will receive free repair or replacement. Next time, I'd like to ask to mind your own business - with all due respect of course.
