Music Library missing from MacBook Air and iPad

The other day, noticed my Music Library on my newer M4 Macbook Air had been deleted. Checked my even newer iPad A16, and gone there as well. Oddly, it is still present on my iPhone 16E.

Some further maybe pertinent information. I upgraded to the M4 in August, and did the data transfer (from M3-M4) right at the store as traded in my M3. Did not see nor was I advised of any issue, but since I use my Macbook more as a repository for music I imported from CDs and from songs downloaded from Amazon, and transfer selected songs to my iPhone, simply had not used it, or its predecessor the M3 for quite a while. The iPad I upgraded to several weeks ago, and this time restored the data - presumably full Music Library, but guess not!) from a backup done the day I traded my old one in. Again, no noticeable issue or warnings.

HELP!

On both these devices, updated to 26.1 immediately. And seems like something changed for the Music Library based on files I saw. The only other odd thing is one Mac under “media” it has an empty file which has the name stating something like “Add to Music Library”. But again, is empty.

My iPhone I upgraded due, restoring data from my traded in iPhone’s last backup. As stated, ALL music files are intact.

Lastly, no, do NOT have a subscription to Apple Music, so of course no iCloud backup. BUT, I religiously, daily back up to a separate hard drive. However, when I checked, could not recall where to look for the “Music Library” (redall this happened once before, and it was tricky to find.
