Apple Music in MacOS 26 limited functionality for owned songs in Library

After upgrading to MacOS 26 I am unable to play my own music in Apple Music like I normally would. When browsing my library I am unable to simply select a song and play it. I can not select any songs. If I "right-click" then I can "add to playlist" or "play next" etc. but I can not simply double-click it to play it and then have songs play "up next" based on how they are sorted. This is an important feature to me--especially as i was in the middle of my annual A-Z by song title session. Also, without being able to select multiple songs, how would i add a group to a playlist?
