Alogic 40" Edge 5K/2K monitor scaling with M2 MacBook Pro

I recently purchased the Alogic 40" Edge monitor (hasn't shipped yet) on a Black Friday deal. I originally thought it was a true 5K display, but it turns out to be 5K/2K. My goal was to get a proper 5K monitor to avoid scaling issues with my M2 MacBook Pro—my current 27" 1440p screen sometimes isn’t ideal for my aging eyes.

Does anyone here have this monitor, or another display with a similar resolution, who can share their experience? Alternatively, if you’ve dealt with macOS scaling challenges, do you have suggestions for getting the best results from a 5K/2K monitor? I’ve seen that there are apps for managing display resolution—any recommendations?

On paper, the monitor seems very appealing: the large screen, built-in hub, and a price well below similar competitor models (and for a bigger size). I paid £930, which feels like great value.
