Full expanded windows resize down when clicked.

On macOS Tahoe, if i drag a winow to the top to resize it to full screen, when ever I click on the window to select the window, the window resizes down to the middle of the screen. This is driving me insane, as I work with multiple screens and when i go from one screen to another sometimes I just want to select the window i'm working on so i click on the top bar of the window and the thing resizes, which requires me to have to drag the window to the top edge again to resize it...

The funcionality should be only resize the window down if you drag the window down instead of just clikcing on it.
