AirPods Pro (3rd Gen) Announce Calls & Siri issues
Dear Apple Support Team,
I am writing to request assistance regarding an ongoing issue with my AirPods Pro (3rd Generation). Since yesterday, I have been facing two major problems:
- Announce Calls is not working at all
- Siri does not respond when using the AirPods
These issues started suddenly, even though my AirPods were connected to my iPhone overnight. In the morning, I also noticed unusual behavior like ringing sounds, but no Siri or announce call function.
I would like to highlight all the steps that I have already tried based on the troubleshooting procedures:
Troubleshooting Already Performed
- Confirmed that Announce Calls, Announce Notifications, and Siri options are all enabled in iPhone settings.
- Verified that both left and right AirPods are properly connected and showing battery levels.
- Cleaned the AirPods and charging case and ensured proper contact.
- Restarted my iPhone 15.
- Removed and re-paired the AirPods multiple times.
- Reset the AirPods using the front touch sensor (as these newer models do not have a back pairing button).
- Checked the firmware version (currently 8B25) – both my iPhone and AirPods are on the latest public versions.
- Verified that sound output, microphone settings, and call routing settings are correctly configured.
Despite following all these steps, Siri is still not responding through the AirPods, and Announce Calls continues to remain non-functional. Other audio functions like music and call audio are working normally, but the smart features are not.
