signing into apple ID on a new macbook air

I'm upgrading my Macbook Pro to a 2025 Macbook Air. I have moved everything over to an external hard drive because it woudn't take all my file but when I try to sign into my apple account on my new macbook air I get a message saying "A keychain cannot be found to store " 100250727". what does this mean? It happens when I try to sign into Google too. I can sign into my Apple account ona webpage but NOT into my computer, so no iCloud etc kind defeats the object. Thanks K x
