iOS26.X Phone app notifications are not consistent (driving me crazy)

I'm just curious am I the only one with this problem.

Since the iOS 26 update, Phone app notifications are not working properly.

I've had an iPhones since 2017 so I know the drill.

But I'm a simple user, meaning I don't use Focus modes and play around with various settings, so all that remained the same during the switch from 18 to 26.

Details about the issue:

  • Sometimes I have missed calls and they don't even show up in the Notification center. I randomly find out about them only when I open the Phone app -> Recents. Crazy.
  • Sometimes a person would be calling me and I get no banner nor the fullscreen. Only when the person finally drops the call do I get a notification. Crazy.
  • It seems like it happens more often with my contacts rather than the unknown callers.
  • My friend has a 16 Pro Max (iOS 26) and he experienced this too a couple of times already.

I'm almost certain that the issue is due to the recent update. My settings are perfectly fine.

I just want my phone to ring when someone is calling me, that's all.

Isn't that the whole point? Am I asking too much?

Are you experiencing the same issues? If so, leave your comments. Let’s apply pressure to finally get it fixed. We are almost 2 months into iOS26, and it's about time to fix these basic issues.

Fun fact: I’m at such a loss that I’ve enabled “Send Apple analytics” in the settings, convinced it might save the world.

This newest update ios26 is making my phone very laggy, it glitches my screen after I’m getting out of an app or just navigating on my phone. It even made my phone glitch in the middle of a call and I couldn’t get out of the screen. The worst update I’ve had. I feel like Apple is pushing me out of my iPhone 13 mini to get a newer iPhone, ridiculous!
