Second parent cannot view child's Screen Time settings

I've been using the apple parental controls via family sharing setup for some time now (over a year). My wife is just transitioning to use an iPhone for the first time. I've added wife's apple ID to our family and assigned her as a parent.

On wife's iPhone, when I navigate to Family, and then select the Child, and tap the Screen Time button, it prompts for an initial setup. From my phone (where I have managed the child's screen time settings for >1yr) it simply shows me the settings I already have setup.

Do I need to wait for a data sync to occur, or do the existing controls not sync between the two parents, or something else?
