AirPod lose connection on United Flights

I’ve been on several United flights since I purchased my AirPods. Without fail, about 10-15 mins into connecting them to Bluetooth the audio gets really scratchy and impossible to make out what is being said. After a few minutes of this, the audio stops coming through. The AirPods are still connected via Bluetooth and I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting several times. The same issue happens in about 10-15 mins every time. It’s also happened on multiple flights so it has to be an issue with my product or something broader. Any suggestions?
