Heart Rate During Exercise Apple Watch Ultra 2

I seem to have problems with my heart rate tracking during walks, hikes, cycling and weight training.

There are often huge gaps in the tracking.

The watch is always 'snugly' on my wrist, well above the wrist bone.

Because of this, my health stats are often, of course, equally inaccurate.

Is this a problem with the watch or am i doing something incorrectly?

Thank you in advance for your advice and opinions.

I don't like "snugly". I've noticed that if its too tight, it will give false quite high results, or won't even register a result. I use a trail band so its a velcro connector. I keep it less than snug, I must say. Try loosening it up a bit. I've found my watch is very sensitive to tightness and location. BTW, I like your location. Just be sure its not too high. I normally wear my watch right at the bottom of my wrist. When I do a workout, I move it up about an inch ... just above the bone bump. I've had good success since paying attention to these little details.
