Audio midi configuration setup goes everytime to basic

I have an Mac Mini 2024, macOS Sequioa, connected to an AVR OVER HDMI,

I changed the setup in the audio midi configuration to 8 channels in the highest bitrate, and I can use this setup for playing movies etc.

when I put the power off of my AVR the setup is back again to 2 channel, and I must again make changes to the audio midi configuration to get back the eight channels.

in my history this was not the situation before Apple added passthrough to the macOS for lossy in Music, QuickTime an Apple TV

can we save the setup changes I made?
