Screen Sharing control issue with multiple displays arranged diagonally on iMac

One of the iMac in a production environment has 2 additional external display. In order to prevent the mouse pointers from appearing on the other 2 external display, they are been arranged diagonally.

However, when arranged in such manner, our crew will not be able to control that iMac using screen sharing. He can only view, but unable to see where is his mouse.

Problem can be solved by arranging all 3 screens side by side, but this is not the ideal configuration for us.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue or is there any better suggestion?

If you're running as an extended desktop, then there has to be some degree of overlap between the screens, because the OS expects you to want to move your mouse from one screen to another. If there's no overlap then there's no point where the mouse can move to the adjacent screen.

As for screen sharing, what system are you using for sharing? and is this interactive (where the. client controls the main system) or view-only?

When running multiple displays the user usually has control over which display(s) to share remotely.

Refer to the settings as shown before. As mentioned, the purpose of doing so is to prevent the mouse pointer from appearing on the external displays, or at least make it less likely for it to appear on the external displays.

While the OS is expecting users to move our mouse from one screen to another, in a presentation environment, this is what user don't expect it from happening.

And as mentioned, which you can try with macOS Sequoia 15.7.1, when using the default Screen Sharing app on Mac, the client system (Macbook Pro, M processors) will not be able to control on the main system with external displays arranged as shown in screenshot below.

What happen is the mouse will stuck at the top of the screen on the main system how matter how the mouse is moved on the client machine. Refer to attached images as reference. Note in the attached image, I've already selected which screen to control. If this is not considered as system bug, then's it's the Screen Sharing app that's having issue?

I agree with den.thed here.

ProPresenter is not the 'default Screen Sharing app' on MacOS, therefore whatever the standard OS does isn't really relevant. You'll have to delve into Pro Presenter to find your answer as to how you share content without the cursor.

That said, I'm still a little confused by the line:

> Position of the mouse on main system when it's being controlled remotely

That implies you have at least three systems involved - the 'main' system that's running the presentation content, a remote system that you're using to control it remotely, and a (set of?) display system(s) that are displaying the content. Is that right? Otherwise, why are you controlling the main system remotely?

The main issue I have here is not the mouse cursor appearing on external display.

That's ProPresenter's issue.

The main issue is not able to control the main system with the default Screen Sharing application on another system.

There are only 2 systems.

The issue described is only the main system (the system I'm controlling) and another mac system that use to control the main. Issue happens without ProPresenter running.

Controlling remotely is just to do administrative stuff so that one won't have to physically go on site.
