Problem importing photos from iphone to Sequoia Macbook

I had this problem, but didn't see a solution in this forum then I discovered a simply issue that resolved it. The main problem I encountered is that when I connected the iphone to the macbook and opened Photos on the Macbook, I didn't get the usual prompt to import like a did before I upgraded to Sequoia. The problem was simply that the pop up window for photos was too small. When I expanded it, the SIDEBAR appeared where it listed the attached Iphone that I could not see before . Simple, but aggravating when you don't know. So I am posting this to help others who may have the same issue. If you cannot see the iphone connection on your macbook when you open Photos, try expanding the Photos screen and the sidebar will appear.
