Completely frustrated with Messages app and sending to Android users

iOS 26 and macOS 26 are a complete disaster for me if I try to include an Android user in a group text message. And unfortunately, this is our primary means to communicate with our employees. IT has been broken since updating to 26.

I have searched & tried everything imaginable. In the end, I get the nasty "Delivery failed" and retries to nothing to fix it.

I must have something set wrong. Otherwise there would be an avalanche of Apple users complaining.

Can someone give me the exact settings in the messages app (on iOS and macOS) so I can get his this basic feature to work again?

MMS is your phone carrier feature, you'll need to contact them and make sure your line is provisioned If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

After that make sure text forward is enabled on your iphone Forward text messages from your iPhone to other devices - Apple Support.
