iMessage delivery discrepancy after family member's block

My husband and I have the same phone, the same updates, and the same telephone line. A family member has blocked us for 2 years. When we sent messages in the past, nothing appeared under the blue message, indicating we were blocked. NOW, his remains the same, and mine says delivered. People are telling me I could still be blocked, despite my sudden change. Apple was of no help. Three calls, three different answers.
