i use a Mevo Multicam which srores videos in the MevoMulticam/videos folder. These videos appear to have been transferred to iCloud automatically and deleted in the iPad. However, there is no corresponding folder on iCloud. How do I access them?

What makes you think they were transferred to iCloud exactly?
If there is no folder in iCloud drive for the specific app, then it's not storing anything accessible on iCloud.
It may be backing up to iCloud, but that is usually not user accessible directly, and would need to be managed from within the app directly.
If you are using the iCloud Photos option, the system may reduce the quality of local photos and videos but keep originals in iCloud, but it does not outright delete anything locally.
It keeps a lower quality version locally so you can always download the full quality version.
Not sure exactly what is happening with the App, but it's not that Apple is deleting local files to make space, it doesn't work that way.
The mevo app may be saving the videos somewhere else if it has its own cloud service or simply not having them at all.
Thanks Phil0124 for your comments. The Mevo App has a log file that shows the files were created but they are not on the iPad in the application directory. Due to the large size approx 2GB I assumed that they were automatically uploaded to iCloud and deleted from the iPad to save space. During a subsequent session, I changed the file save directory in the application to use Photos. The subsequent videos were automatically uploaded to photos on iCloud and deleted on the iPad by the Apple system.
So the original files must be somewhere since the Mevo App does not delete saved files.
