2012 Historical: Multicam editing with FCP X then . . . and now?????

Last week I dug out an old multicam demo tutorial from 2012 using the new-fangled FCP X and burning it to an AVCHD disc on a standard DVD+R.

I used 4 clips from the DVD in one of Tom's old FCP 6 books. It was pretty much the first and last time I did any multicam.

Today I tried to follow my tutorial but things have changed! All I got was a single timeline with the clips following each other . . . no sign of any angles to choose from anywhere.

Give the clips some metadata like CamA, CamB, etc., then create the multicam.

Thanks terryb.

I have sussed it out though on my first attempt using my basic M2 mini (8GB RAM) I found I was getting dropped frames and assumed the mini was not powerful enough.

However, after a few minutes it dawned on me that my media and Library were on a USB 3.0 HDD so I swapped it for an SSD and everything was silky smooth.

Just one minor irritation . . . the various angles are displayed very small (even on my 27" monitor) so is there any way to increase their size?
