Files App folder crashing due to bloated AudioShare app on iPad

I have been transferring a large amount of audio files from iCloud Drive into the AudioShare app for over a week.

This morning, AudioShare started glitching when I attempted to add a new folder of wav files. I had to force close AudioShare several times as well as download the folders stored in iCloud multiple times.

Suddenly the Files App folder crashed and kicked me into the startup screen, which is now all that happens when clicking on the Files App icon. I can’t even view the menu tab that pops up when clicking on the folder, the entire screen just goes black and brings me back to the startup screen.

I tried shutting the iPad down for several minutes a few times now but it hasn’t helped. I deleted the folders I’d recently transferred to AudioShare, that too did nothing.

I also noticed that the space on my iPad is maxed out, 248.03 GB of 256 GB, this should not be as I store all of my files on iCloud. Storage shows that it is indeed the AudioShare app that is the culprit but as stated above, I don’t store my audio files on my iPad, so I don’t understand why the app is bloated.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you for your reply.

I didn’t realize the files were being stored on the iPad., very disappointing. I deleted them from AudioShare which freed up a lot of space but the Files folder is still crashing and kicking me back to the startup screen. I shut the iPad down but again it didn’t help.

Any suggestions?
