CarPlay volume stuck at 50%

When I use CarPlay my media volume is stuck on 50% and I can’t find a fix. Any fixes I’ve found online DONT WORK. My car isn’t the type of car where I can mess with its volume settings nor can I find any setting within the unit to change volume. I can’t figure it out and it’s driving me crazy. Navigation and Siri is perfect, only the music volume is stuck. I’ve tried to do the trick where I change the volume while nav or Siri is speaking and that does not work, sound check is off. Has anyone found any way to fix this or am I just gonna have to stop using CarPlay and go back to aux to listen to music?

I only know it’s stuck because for a split second when connecting before showing the CarPlay symbol in the volume area, it goes to halfway and then I can’t see it anymore.
