AirPod Maxs not working

Hi, so I got my AirPod maxs about 2 or 3 years ago. Recently, they’ve been acting weird. Doing things like disconnecting while they’re still on my head, one ear just going silent and then disconnecting altogether, and not connecting to my phone unless I fully reset them. So today, I go to put my headphones on, and they don’t connect to my phone. I try to reset them by holding down the 2 buttons, but they just flash the amber and never the white like they usually do to reset them. I even tried to hold on the noise cancellation button to just connect them like regular, but it won’t flash white. Is there anything I can do or should I go get them repaired? (I’ve also kept them on the charger; so the problem isn’t that they aren’t charged) thank you!
