iCloud not seeing sub folders

I have an extensive library of files all sorted in iCloud which used to be available to my iPad Pro 6. iCloud no longer sees anything within sub folders. Just says empty folder. Since I had over 100,00 files laid out neatly. Hours and hours and hours of work. I can’t believe it isn’t working anymore.
