18.6.2 update, clearing website data

Trying to do update 18.6.2 on my iPad but it’s telling me that I dont have enough space in my storage. I’ve reduced everything but the last large amount of data is Safari at 1.59GB. Have cleared browsing history and now trying to delete website data but the website data list won’t load. Have switched on and off etc etc and have read all community feeds but nothing helps resolve. What can I do? Thanks

You'll certainly not be able to install iPadOS 18.6.2 on any device - as this update is no longer digitally signed by Apple. At the time of writing, the most recent (i.e. current) version is iOS/iPadOS 18.7.1.


If you have a cached but not yet installed 18.6.2 update - and the package has not been automatically removed - this must be manually deleted before you will be able to perform an update:

Settings > General > iPad Storage > [Show All]


Scroll down the list of Apps to find the already downloaded update. When found, tap and delete.


After the cached update package has been removed, you should be able to perform an update to the most recent version of iPadOS supported by your iPad.
