Unable to take live photos after some time

iOS: 26.0.1

For some strange reason, Live Photos on FaceTime are not working properly. During several calls, I’ve seen the message saying the photo was captured, but the person on the other end doesn’t get the notification, so the photo isn’t actually taken. In other cases, I get the message saying the feature needs to be enabled on both ends, even though it already is.

I’ve tried updating iOS, restarting the phone, disabling Focus Mode, and checking the security settings, among other things. Everything seems normal, but it still doesn’t work.

The only thing that has worked so far is restarting the call — it works for a while, but after a few minutes, the problem comes back.
