iPhone 15 Pro freezes when filming in ProRes mode

Hello everyone,

I'm having a big problem with ProRes mode on my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 26.0.

When I enable ProRes in the camera, I have the choice between Log and HDR, but:

If I select either one, the preview freezes.. and if I press the red button, the iPhone appears to be filming, but the counter remains stuck at 00:00, and no video appears in Photos afterwards.

I also get the message: ‘Unable to film in ProRes in 4K/HD 60fps without an external SSD.’

So I lower it to 1080p / 30 fps, which activates ProRes (I have ‘ProRes HDR’ or ‘ProRes Log’ displayed at the top).

But the freeze persists.

What I have:

iPhone 15 Pro 128Gb

87Gb free

No external SSD
