Photos is rejecting perfectly good Jpegs to import

What is this now that I have upgraded to Tahoe

Blondie-san getting fed up with Apple technology. This same problem occurred with the previous OS which was finally resolved after about six months. I'm too old to put up with this kind service. Apple used to be good but now ..... ?
