Hi, I’m trying to sync my device with iCloud to free up some storage, but it never seems to work - it just won’t sync. I’ve also tried deleting photos and apps manually to clear space, but they don’t delete either. Could you please help me fix this?

If your iPhone is really full, just a few GB free, then many operations become nearly impossible to work. It actually becomes difficult to even delete stuff, so you get stuck. You need to keep at least 10% of your storage free.
All this applies to iCloud storage as well.
You need to delete some small stuff first, if yo can, and then work up to larger things.
My iPhone 16 Pro Max can’t sync with iCloud.
