macOS Tahoe 26: Safari can’t get location and isn’t in Location Services — how do I fix this?
On macOS Tahoe 26, Apple Maps finds my location, but Safari shows “Google Maps does not have permission to use your location.“ and Safari does not appear in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
Tried already:
- Wi-Fi on; Location Services on; Safari does not appear in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- Safari → Settings → Websites → Location: set to Allow; per-site = Allow.
- Cleared site data (Privacy → Manage Website Data).
- Disabled all extensions/profiles; turned off Private Relay, Created a new profile.
- Confirmed HTTPS / not blocked by iframe.
- sudo killall locationd
- Tried different/multiple websites that requests location.
Still no Safari entry and no prompt on Google Maps/verification pages. Any other fixes? Thanks.
