Unable to see exact dates of pictures in Photos app after iOS 26 update

Since ios 26 on my iphone I can only see relative dates in the photo app like ‚yesterday‘ or ‚Monday‘. Older photos are shown with exact dates.

Is there any possibility to change that to exact dates?

I am talking about the date shown on the top of the screen.

I can only see the exact date when I swipe up. But I don’t want to do this while scrolling.

I sometimes find I'm annoyed by that, too. I think I remember years ago, on a Mac, you could choose not to use "yesterday," etc, and I decided that I was OK with it. But I'm pretty sure that it's no longer an option on any OS.

By the way, this is not an OS26 thing. This is from my phone, still on Sequoia:

Dates have worked this way for years.
