I'd never had a problem with the Belkin Rockstar lightning/audio splitter for the car, but now the 3.5mm audio + USB-C won't pass through audio from my new iphone 17 Pro. Any adaptor known to actually do this?

These presumably will – although they're not splitters, so you can't use them to charge the iPhone at the same time.
I have also used that adapter to listen in the car (Fiio DAC connected to car audio) while charging. Has been working for years. Up until I upgraded my phone (iPhone 14 pro) to IOS 26. Now the charging over the adapter still works. But the audio keeps coming out of the phone speakers and not from the car audio. The power led on the Fiio DAC is lit though. Connected on its own the DAC works. But no longer via the Belkin Rockstar adapter. I have no other Apple devices on older IOS to confirm, but I suspect it’s a bug in IOS 26.
I have tried the adapter with the Fiio DAC with an old iPad Air. And guess what, it works fine. Audio and charging. So it looks like IOS 26 has rendered the Belkin Rockstar lightning adapter useless. I hope this will be fixed soon.
if it was me then rather than saying it here in a user helping user forum then I would try to reach out to both apple official channels and belkin to verify if a solution were being worked on

By the way. Mine is the Belkin Rockstar lightning version. Since the iPhone 14 still has lightning.
