Apple Pencil Pro not connecting to Ipad Air M3

After the os26 update I have had my apple pencil disconnect multiple times. It won't reconnect for hours. I don't have any pending updates (using 26.0.1 right now). I have gone through all of the troubleshooting procedures I can find and nothing helps. This is the 3rd time it has happened and it is becoming quite tiresome. Apple, please take a closer look at this issue.
