Backing up your phone to icloud What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support DOESN'T remove saved voice memo, all of mine is still there.

You're confused with syncing with icloud as outlined here Apps and features that use iCloud - Apple Support

Assuming that is what you mean when you answer yes, when you open settings - your name - icloud - saved in icloud.

Find it hard that you called Apple support or went to the Apple store and they couldn't help you.
