can I search iCloud photos for a zip code location

There is nothing at iCloud.com that isn't on your connected phone, and the web site is harder to use-- so do the searching in Photos on the phone.

To search a location on your phone, you can go to Photos' Map collection and zoom in on your house. There you will see all the pictures you have that include your house's location in their metadata.

Searching for "home" also worked for me. Of course, it brought up all of the pictures I've taken at my house. Most of them are not of the exterior.

Yep-- that works, even for pictures taken with other cameras. And none are from previous homes.
