Missing favorites contacts Tab on iPhone 15 is missing now
After updating my iPhone 15, my Favorites tab isn't there. Are my Favorites at the top of my Contacts listings?
iPhone 15, iOS 26

I agree. The only thing I use my Favorites for is so that the people on there can ring through, even when I'm on "Do Not Disturb", in case they have an emergency.
I went to add my daughter-in-law and I couldn't until I read what was on this page.
It was one of the silliest things they could have eliminated.
Thank you!!!
Thank you, your are the only one making sense
Correct, in the Unified view which is selected by default after updating, favorite contacts are now at the top of the Calls page. You can also switch back to the Classic View by tapping the three lines icon in the top right corner, which will bring back the dedicated Favorites tab.
Gone are the days when Apple updates were designed to make usage EASIER. They were to IMPROVE the user's experience, not add time to trying to locate changes then figure them out. Recently visited an AppleStore and even their "genius" was stumped. Not a good sign for Apple. Many of the "solutions" suggested by Apple DO NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!

If you need classic, switch to classic.
I just got off of the phone with Apple Support. At the bottom of your screen you should see "calls", "contacts" and "keypad". If you click on "calls" at the far left, it should bring up the 3 lines in the upper right hand corner where you can switch to the "classic" view and get back your favorites.
It sounds like they are getting a lot of calls about this! I don't understand why they thought this was a good idea for the new update,

Yes. I have mentioned this twice in this thread.
My complaint is that the Favorites in the Unified view only give you one option for contacting the person. I have to use video with hard-of-hearing relatives, but only their phone is listed - so I'll be back on Classic for the time being!
That stinks. Is it supposed to be an “improvement “?

My favorites are NOT in the top of the call list nor do i have the 3 line icon in the top right corner of my iphone, how do i get favorites back?
I didn’t think I could find it either… But the favorites are there as icons of the faces of your fave people. Hope that helps.
The Favorites button is in the Phone app, not the Contacts app.
Thank you so much for the brief, but completely clear, solution to this problem. It was indeed a lousy idea for them to change the default format!!!
