Extremely Slow iPhone 13 Pro Screen Record to MOV to Airdrop to MacBook M4 Pro

I'm using running on:

iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 26.0.1)

MacBook M4 Pro (MacOS 26.0.1)

I have encountered a very slow airdrop issue from iPhone to MacBook Pro. I'm very sure that the Wifi Internet connectivity is working well, and all devices are connect to the local/router network.

I was screen recording with mic on the iPhone of a tutorial to my colleague. The recorded video is about 3:28 mins. I need to upload this video to the MacBook for further process and sending.

The steps were as follow:

iPhone -> Photos -> Select Video -> Share -> Options: Most Compatible -> Airdrop to my MacBook Pro

The AirDrop is still running even after 30 mins, then the status turned to "Failed" on the iPhone. I mean just for a 3:38 video, how huge can the file be? I'm sure that it wouldn't take that long...

I have repeated this process with cancel and re-AirDrop, it was still the same slowness, which ends up in failure.

Just reporting this issue, hope that a fix could come about.

When I have AirDrop issues, I generally just restart both devices and it fixes it. You can check the file size by clicking the circled 'i' icon at the bottom of the photo.

Alternatively, you can connect the phone and Mac with a wired connection and import the video into the Mac Photos app, then export it to your desktop/downloads for processing.
