After the Tahoe update I can't open Pages or any Pages document

Updated the new iOS and suddenly I can't open Pages and my macbook won't open any of my Pages documents. Same for my Scrivener app and all my .scriv documents. No viruses. No malware. Finder just tells me "The application Pages can't be opened." Well alrighty then.

For some reason it associated this with my 16" macbook below but this is on my 14" MacBook Pro M1 Pro from 2021 that is having the problem.

Ensure that you have Pages v14.4 installed from the Mac App Store, on your internal drive's Application's folder and the currently available version of Scrivener.

I know that this version of Pages works with the released version of macOS 26.0 and macOS 26.0.1 available on Mon 2025-09-29. You might try a one-time press and hold the shift key while launching Pages to prevent it from referencing its last saved execution state, in case it crashed or froze recently. Then try opening a Pages document.
