After the most recent update (today is 09/29/25), I do not see how to sort photos in Shared Albums. I always sort in chronological order. Please advise how to arrange by date.

The Sort option for photos in Shared albums has been moved to the menu in the lower left corner - tap the button with the three horizontal lines forming a down arrow: There you will find an option to sort by oldest first or newest first.
But only you will be seeing the images sorted like this, the sorting is not synced with iCloud to the other subscribers.
@ OT: The good news is, we can now sort our photos in shared albums. This has changed when Apple stopped stripping the capture dates from the photos in shared albums. Previously it has not been possible, because the shared photos did not keep the dates.

Shared Albums are only sorted by the order of adding the photos to it. Once added you can't resort the photos.
I was referring to those on line. Can those be sorted also?
