Weather complication disappeared from Apple Watch Ultra 3 (Watch OS26)

I got an Apple Watch Ultra 3 last Friday. It worked great until today. This morning, the watch stopped tracking my activities. I went for a 2-mile walk but the watch didn't capture any of my movements. After trying to fix this issue for about 45 minutes, I unpaired and repaired the watch with my iPhone. This fixed the activities problem, but now the weather complication has completely disappeared from the watch.

When selecting complications for any watch face in the Watch app on my iPhone 14 Pro, the weather complication is not an option to choose from. In the alphabetical list of complications, my screen goes from "Wallet" to "Workout." The "Weather" option is gone.

If I make a new watch face that has the weather complication preinstalled, it is set to "off" when I try to select a new complication. If I go ahead and select a new complication, the weather complication which previously said "off, simply disappears.

The weather app on the watch is working fine. As is the weather app on my phone.

Looking for advice on how to fix this issue.

If it’s still within the hour after your re-pair, it’s likely the Weather app simply hasn’t installed yet on your Apple Watch. View your apps on your watch and you can see which ones are installed and which are pending install. At least, that’s what it was for me. After the Weather app finished installing my weather complications returned.

Others have reported that patience is required. Eventually, the missing complications return as the devices have time to settle in and update all their resources.

I have exactly the same issue, all of the sudden my Apple Watch Ultra loss connection, and when re paired it with my phone the weather complication is no where to be found, it has completely disappeared.

I am also having the same issue. The weather complication has disappeared from all my watch faces, and it is no longer listed as a complication option for any watch face. I have confirmed that location is activated for weather, and restarted both my watch and my phone. Any suggestions, beside waiting for the watch and phone to figure things out?
