Hidden back arrow in WhatsApp on iOS 26

I was able to switch to a different contact in the midst of a WhatsApp which I am unable to do now as the back arrow is hidden. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unable to access other WhatsApp chats during a call after update I used to be able to make a WhatsApp call and while still on that call I could access all my WhatsApp messages and type replies to contacts. Since the new update I can make the call , look at WhatsApp for the contact I’m on the call with BUT there is no longer a bar with a left arrow that lets me access my other chats .
