Switching from family to personal icloud+ plan

I want to switch from my family plan of iCloud+ that is being paid by someone else, but i use Optimize iPhone Storage to save my photos on the iCloud and I am planning to switch to a personal iCloud plan and my concern is that if i do that will i loose my photos and other data backed up with it.
