Prevent family sharing of apps downloaded

I just found out that my kids can see all the apps I've ever downloaded. Why in the actual F would I ever have wanted them to be shared in the first place? Apparently I'm supposed to be able to "hide" them in my app store history and in doing so it should block my family members from seeing, but it does not work. Hidden apps remain viewable in family sharing on kids devices.

What is the workaround here? I don't want my kids to see any apps I've downloaded.
