My Apple Pencil 2nd generation stopped working after iOS 26 update

I have a second-generation Pensil and a second-generation iPad Pro (2020). It displays the charge status, continues charging, and even the double-tap function works, but the tip itself doesn't write or draw. I've already replaced the tip, forgotten the device via Bluetooth, and rebooted the tablet itself, but nothing works. I suspect the issue is with the update itself, as there was no reason for it to break before, and yet it charges and the double-tap function works.
